Dr. Gephard received her Bachelor’s degree from Russell Sage College in Biology with a minor in Nutrition in 2017. While there, she found her passion for veterinary medicine after she found a stray cat on her campus and started volunteering with a local cat shelter, causing her to switch her focus from human medicine to veterinary medicine. She continued on to graduate from the University of Illinois with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. While in veterinary school, she also obtained her Master’s degree in Veterinary Forensics through University of Florida in 2020. After graduating, she went on to complete two mentorship programs at Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital, as well as Veterinary Emergency Group. She has also volunteered with animal control while living in Indiana, assisting with animal cruelty cases.  She is passionate about surgery, endoscopy, forensics, toxicology, and pain management. When she is not working, she can be found reading a book in her new home, hanging out with her cats (Annabelle and Lemon) or watching Amazing Race re-runs with her partner.
